Getting Ready in 8 weeks?

Adjusting the 100 day plan - to 8 weeks duration:

"Could you please give me some advice on how to prepare for the Rome Marathon which is only 2 months away? I am travelling through Europe in March and, just today, realized that I am going to be in Rome when they are having the Rome Marathon. As I will probably never be in Rome again, I simply must run it!! I am always at the Half Marathon fitness level (I run 2 hour long runs every week). I also have been doing your speed workouts twice a week (45 sec at level 4 then 15 sec of recovery - 15 repeats). I just want to finish and enjoy the sights along the way - I do not expect to PB. Please HELP!!!
Thank you so much!"

Answer: Hi Maurenia and thanks for your question.

If you take a close look at the 100 day plan you find a whole section in there on how to adjust the schedule down to 8-9 weeks in duration. Use what I point out there (chapter nr.4) and it would work perfectly well, especially as you are already in half marathon shape !

I wish you all the best,

kind regards,
Marius
