Half Marathon in 4 weeks (Help!)

Half marathon training in 4 weeks :

"Greetings Dr Marius,

Considering I've never run a 1/2 marathon and my wife has volunteered us to participate in one in 4 weeks, what training schedule do you recommend to do my very best? My 5K time right now is 19:30 and will certainly improve. Running a progressive heart rate session this morning for 5.5mi (zone 1, 3, 3, 3, 4) my time was 39:53. "

Answer: Hi Clennon, it is hard to say (and not really a goal of the 100 day plan - in such a short time)

I would probably pick the best sessions from the 5k/10k phase and mix it with some from the half marathon phase for the best results but in either way, it is too short of a time to really structure a plan well! In that short of a time just kind of playing it day by day (going hard-easy- hard) day is probably just as good.
