Sub 3:00 marathon

"Hi Marius,

I did my Berlin marathon in 3:22:39 (below my splits) and considering it was raining I am happy with the result.
My ultimate goal is to run a marathon below 3 hr. Is it doable? What type of training and how long would it take? I am willing to go through a few marathons before then but I still have family and work to take into account....

Please advice.

Answer: I will make this a general answer (please make questions general so that others can relate to it as well, see the above text)

Since you only have had the 100 day plan for about a week (purchased the 20th of September as far as I can see)and it was not used it before Berlin, it is hard for me to say. However, the structured approach you will see in the 100 day plan should help you knock minutes down, and get you close to 3:00 either in the first cycle of it or a second one. Your split, with slowing up after 30km is a part for improvement in itself.

regards,
Marius
