Effort zone for the 5k-10k and half marathon

What effort to run the 5-10 km and the half marathon :

Normally i run my 5-10 and sometimes half marathon in the effort 5 zone,is this ok or should i try to stay in effort 4 zone and get faster in this zone?

Answer: Hi Perry and thanks for your question. You want to run these as fast as possible, so Effort zones are really not important.

Just try and start a bit moderate and build up from there as a steady as possible pace - but race these ; they are meant that way. That will help you determine the marathon race time to target later in the plan.
